Now that you have completed registration and have your consignor number and password I am sure you are asking yourself what do I do next??? The first thing you need to do is Schedule a Drop-off appointment to check your items into the sale. If you do not have a appointment scheduled by Sunday June 19th 2011 you will not be able to participate in our sale. Below are some very important steps on how to properly prepare your items for sale:

 

Supplies Needed:

 

    * hangers wire or plastic ~10 for $1.00 at (99 cent store, Walmart, and Target)
    * safety pins
    * clear tape
    * Ziploc bags (if needed)
    * white card stock 110 lb paper (for printing out price tags)


 

How To Prepare Your Items?


 

First off you should know that the better your items look the more money you will get for them and the faster they will sell! Larger items like strollers, hi-chairs, bouncers, excersaucers, cribs, furniture bikes, playhouses etc.. usually sell within the first few hours of the sale. People are mainly looking for high ticket items and larger items first when they come to shop. We will have plenty of room this time in a huge 20,000 square feet of space so please bring as many larger items as you can.  We will be inspecting all items at drop-off and will only accept items that are in excellent used condition.

 

Clothing:

 

Needs to be carefully inspected. No stains, holes, tears, faded and worn, or really outdated clothing will be accepted!

When selecting your items to bring to the sale, you should keep a donation box close by. If you think that an item is not something you would purchase or buy for your own child to wear it is probably not suitable to bring to the sale. All clothing must be on wire or plastic hangers and safety pinned securely to the hanger so it will not fall off. Please hang all clothing facing toward you so the hanger is positioned in the shape of a #2. This is to ensure that buyers can easily look through the racks and see all the clothing facing them.  When pinning outfits and sets pin, the first piece to the front of the hanger and the second to the back side of the hanger so it is easier to see for the buyers.

 

Shoes:

 

We recommend that all shoes be put into ziploc baggies with the price tags tapped to the backside. Otherwise they need to be held together either by zip ties, or large safety pins. Shoes are easy to lose and misplace pairs so please secure them and pin or tape tags on the shoes so they will not fall off.

 

Accessories, Socks, Hair Bows, tights, etc...


 

All small items and accessories must be put into clear plastic Ziploc baggies with the tag securely taped to the outside. You can chose if you would like to tape the baggies shut, so it secures the items from being lost or stolen.  

 

Furniture, Swings, Playpens, etc:


 

If you have time when you drop off your items it would be beneficial to set up any furniture you will be selling. When buyers see how the item looks all put together it will sell faster. If this is not possible please at least make sure that all parts, pieces and/or manuals are included. Large baby equipment will sell FAST!! So please don't hesitate to bring large items they most likely will be gone the first day.

 

Toys:

 

Must be clean and in working condition. Please do not bring anything that requires batteries without supplying working batteries. The items will sell faster and for more money if the seller can see exactly how the item works. All puzzles, board games etc.. must include all pieces. Please tape price tag securely to all toys. Smaller toys and infant toys can be put into baggies as well to keep them together. All items with multiple pieces must be secured and all pieces be tapped and put together.

 

Bedding/Blankets:

 

Must be in excellent condition free of odors, stains, lots of fade and wear, or torn. You can choose depending on the item if you would like to hang the bedding/blankets or you can put them in a bag all together as a set and tag the outside.

 

VHS Tapes, DVD's, Games, and CD's:


 

All must be in working condition free of scratches and must be original copies nothing homemade or burned. Please include original cases as well so the buyer can know what they are buying and look at the content of the item. Tape all tags to the back side of the DVD/Videos/Games so the front is visible.

 

Books:

 

Must be in excellent condition with all pages intact and not damaged. Please tape tags to the backside of the books or anywhere you think it will be safe. Remember that tape can tear some books covers so keep that in mind before you tag them. If they are sets you can rubber band them together or put them in a Ziploc bag so they can be sold all together.

 

All Other items:

Please make sure that you securely tag each individual item appropriately because if the tag falls off or gets lost we can no longer sell the items unless the appropriate tag is found. Use your discretion when preparing all items for sale.

 

                   

Remember the more care you put into cleaning

and tagging your items the more money you will get for your items and

the faster they will sell!!
